The Maple Leafs were trounced by the Blue Jackets to the tune of three regulation victories by a combined score of 13-3 in three meetings last season.
Helping the Leafs‘ cause tomorrow: Blue Jackets fans have resorted to pleading with the hockey Gods in an attempt to repent for whatever sin was committed that is costing them player after player to the injury list. Among those definitely out for tomorrow are starter Sergei Bobrovsky, James Wisniewski, Boone Jenner, Brandon Dubinsky, Nathan Horton, Matt Calvert and Nick Foligno; Artem Anisimov’s condition is also unknown after taking a high hit from Eric Gryba the other night. Cam Atkinson also nearly lost his eye in a scary close-call with a skate blade a few nights back.
It’s been a Halloween season of horrors in the C-Bus.
