The Marlies bounced back as well as you could have hoped last night against Hamilton with a 5-0 win. An early goal for Greg McKegg, evidence good things can happen in the offensive zone after the Marlies pumped 84 shots and only mustered one goal the last two games, seemed to be the necessary positive bounce to get the team settled and clicking again. From there, two players patiently awaiting game action in Jussi Rynnas and Kenny Ryan headlined the show in their season debuts with the former playing his way to a shutout and the latter potting two goals. Nicolas Deschamps and Mike Kostka rounded out the scoring.

The Marlies play their third game in under 72 hours this afternoon at 3 p.m. against the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Griffins are 1-4 this season but do have the benefit of a night’s rest between today and their last game. You can catch the game on Leafs TV.

    There are so many people who I engage in these kinds of debates who believe they are conservative or republican or generally right wing, but when you actually discuss values with them, they are clearly left-minded.

    It’s the economic policies of both sides that usually makes the decision for voters.  Of course we all want a strong economy but at what cost to our values?  
    Just read the comments below videos on youtube or a CBC article perceived to be of left values.   That is where Romney and Harper supporters get together and spew their hatred and anger and corrupt the minds of the uneducated/uninformed.

    Why is it people have to try and demonize political parties they don’t agree with??…I get it…. you don’t agree with right wing policies… but people with right wing views are not hateful and angry…thats an unfair generalization and you know it..thats like saying all people with leftwing views are dreamers ,spenders and homosexuals….right wingers are just as caring and compassionate as people with leftwing views….its becoming a sad modern tactic today for people to smear and label others who have the nerve to have differing political views…at the end of the day..both sides have some extremists…but whether left or right…both parties have people who care deeply about the country and only want the best for all citizens…

    Any evidence you might be able to provide myself that would suggest an ounce of caring and compassion inside Romney’s heart would be greatly appreciated.  Google isn’t any help.  But I’m sure it’s just me.  A link or two or three would be greatly appreciated.  I’ll be waiting patiently.

    Y: People with right wing views here in the US are often very hateful. Did you not see the anger and hatred when the health care debates/fights were taken over by the T-baggers. Your comments may be valid in Canada, but trust a person who has lived in the US for over 20 years, a lot of right wingers down here are real angry and hateful.

    A lot but like Yak has mentioned not all.  There’s a small percentage of uninformed republicans supporters that are genuinely decent people.

    If videos were leaked on Youtube from any other common folk spewing the garbage that that goof has been spewing they’d be absolutely demonized by everyone.  But Romney supporters just ignore it like it never happened.  How the fuck is this possible?

    TT: If the country is fairly evenly divided, yes you are correct, there is a good proportion of right wingers (moderates, centrists, etc.) that are genuinely decent people. As in nearly every case there is a minority element that really makes headlines. Where I am inflamed is healthcare. When you speak with the people in the know it is really obvious it is fucked. If the point is a lot of right wing people are good people, I am good.

    Well the US better not look at our health care system as a model cause we are way behind most modern countries.  I would support a semi-private health care system similar to certain European countries.  Germany for example.  Where you have a choice of using both private and public facilities and can add private coverage on top of public.  It has all but eliminated wait times or at the very least cut them in half..

    Not sure what sites your looking at…but go read Romney’s wikipedia history…he did missionary work in france….is active in the church…is married with a family…..have to some compassion and good heart to be involved in some of these causes…I’m really not sure what part of his character your questioning….perhaps your getting the left wing slant on him…
