Toronto Maple Leafs (27-35-11, 30th in NHL) vs. Boston Bruins (39-28-8, 14th in NHL)

Puck drop: 7:00 p.m. ET
Arena: Air Canada Centre

Game Day Notes

– Classic spoiler opportunity for the Leafs here against an old foe. One team is in the playoff mix and one is the Matthews mix, but the the Leafs have won six of their last eight and the Bruins have lost five in a row. One team should be significantly looser than the other. The Leafs are playing with house money, the Bruins are at risk of a bad collapse out of a playoff spot.

– The Bruins have won three of four in the season series, but the Leafs won the most recent meeting in early February 4-3 in overtime.

Brad Boyes re-enters the lineup tonight, expected to play on a line with Tyler Bozak and Connor Brown. To make space, Josh Leivo returned to the Marlies today and scored twice and put eight shots on goal in an afternoon win over St. John’s.

Jonathan Bernier starts in goal having won three of his last four, with a .958 save percentage over that span.
