Preview and GDT: Leafs at Panthers (7:30 p.m., Sportsnet)

After allowing 5 goals a game while losing three of their last four, the Leafs need to stop the bleeding against the lowly Panthers tonight or else risk falling down the standings into the matchup no one wants against the Washington Capitals.

It sounds like James Reimer will play again tonight after a loss to the Lightning screwed up Randy Carlyle’s best-laid plans. Paul Hendrick reports Colton Orr and John Michael Liles are likely to draw back into the lineup.

Safe to say, if they can’t beat a tanking Panthers team  (winners of one in their last 8) when playofff matchups and potentially home ice are up for grabs, then these Leafs are entering the playoffs in a world of trouble. Get it done.

Official lineups to come.
