On the eve of a new season – and the dawn of a new era under GM Lou Lamoriello and head coach Mike Babcock – here’s a hopeful tribute to the Maple Leafs and their fans from the awesome videographer Tim Thompson.

Sometimes a dream from the past, can bring hope to the future..
This is a love letter about the Toronto Maple Leafs.
From the team to their fans. And from the fans to their team.
For any player who has ever put on the sweater. To those who will, down the road.
And especially for the fans, whose undying love and hope endures.
A footprint on the forever.
The soundtrack is one of my favourite songs of all time. The song is called “Peace and Quiet” by Ron Hawkins & The Do Good Assassins. Ron is one of Canada’s finest songwriters, a true national treasure. This track is from his album ‘Garden Songs’ which was released in 2014. The lyrics are below. Find out more about his work at ronhawkins.com
Sincerely,
Tim Thompson
