Mike Komisarek has waived his No-Movement clause in order to be put on waivers. Once he clears, he will report to the Toronto Marlies.
He’ll suit up for the Marlies this Friday in Chicago.
Komisarek strategy – waiving NMC for waivers – elementary. Needs to play. Almost certain he won’t be claimed, will report/play for Marlies.

If he plays wells in AHL, it could open doors. Maybe TOR recalls him. Or maybe another team is intrigued enough to trade for him.

Failing those, he has body of work in AHL that allows him to market himself if he’s compliance buyout UFA in summer. But he needs to play.
