The Maple Leafs’ 23-man roster is set for opening day.

The Leafs will carry 13 forwards, eight defencemen and two goaltenders. Brooks Laich has officially been assigned to the Marlies, Seth Griffith has been added to the roster off of waivers, and Josh Leivo has been moved to IR (retroactive October 6) with a day-to-day injury.

The Leafs enter the season with $792,000 in cap space, per Cap Friendly, and currently have 48 Standard Player Contracts on their books with the addition of Griffith (as many as three of the 48 could “slide” depending on where Travis Dermott, Dmytro Timashov and Andrew Nielsen play this season).
