Everyone I know has said the same thing. Half of them tell me they are more interested in playing Letterpress or chatting online. Downloading TV has taken over as we’ll. crap if GTA 5 was out I’d be playing that.

Lemieux had it all.  Size, strength and skill.  Not many like him.

Just watched Rielly on 3 shifts in the Canada Russia game on TV.  The guy has fantastic offensive anticipation.  He hasnt had a chance to do much as yet but you can tell he is the most electric of the defenders out there.

So true. Some players you think you could be like if you practiced hard enough. Lemieux and to a degree Sundin stand alone. I could never be like them. Ever.

He’s looking good. Still seems small but then again, he shouldn’t play with the big team for 2 more years.

Pretty easy assessment to make: Rielly is the best defeceman on the ice on either team. Offensively, anyway.

totals bs, the last one was 50 50, take 3 years to get there and make whole, which by takin 3 years to get to 50 50 would cover most of it

Two more years? That’s a bit much. I was all for having him play in the WHL this season, regardless of whether the NHL was locked out or not, but his hockey sense makes him look NHL ready right now. He’ll make the team out of camp next September, I bet. He’s already dominant in the WHL, anyways. Not much more to improve upon at this level.

Invited to camp is one thing. Let the guy develop. Physically. Dropping him into a 80 game season hurts. Gardiner hit the wall mid way through the season. And who’s spot does he take.
