Here’s a great solo effort by Leafs prospect Dmytro Timashov, a Quinn MacKeen favourite, against Team USA in the World Junior Evaluation camp in Lake Placid this afternoon.

As Herman notes, Timashov was on the ice against American defencemen Zach Werenski (eighth overall pick of the Blue Jackets in 2015) and Brandon Carlo (37th overall to the Bruins in ’15) during that even-strength individual effort.

It was one of two points on the afternoon for Timashov, who also assisted on Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson’s third-period goal in Sweden’s 5-2 win.

Leafs prospect Jeremy Bracco scored for the US, bringing his camp tournament totals to one goal, three assists and four points in five games. Another good individual effort:

The two teams will play again Friday afternoon.
