Former NHL All-Star and four-time Stanley Cup winner Gus Mortson has died. The man sometimes known as “Old Hardrock” died peacefully at the Golden Manor Home in Timmins on Saturday at the age of 90.

In the end it really dumbfounds me that people can fully accept that score effects indicate that different playing styles can impact save percentage but can’t accept that players have an ability to impact save percentages if they are given primarily offensive or defensive roles.

If you can make plays and distribute the puck, and use as much as ice and space as you can to be dangerous, then I think that you can move into the middle of the ice offensively. Nylander and Marner qualify there.
