Kyle Cicerella: Jonathan Bernier, starting to feel good with Marlies (Kyle The Reporter)
“We saw a guy that was very confident in the net,” said Keefe after the Marlies beat the Manitoba Moose 9-0 on Sunday. “(He’s) at the top of the crease, looking big, just looked very comfortable. Even if we gave up 40 shots I dont think any were going in.

Press Release: Knights’ Mitchell Marner named Pioneer Energy OHL Player of the Week (OHL.com)
The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Mitchell Marner of the London Knights is the Pioneer Energy OHL Player of the Week for the week ending December 6 after leading the league with 11 points in three games scoring seven goals and four assists with a plus-minus rating of plus-6.

James Mirtle: Leafs’ weekend includes huge showing from OHL points leader Mitch Marner (The Globe and Mail)
There have been a lot of positives so far with the Babcock Leafs. In their non-Bernier games, they now have a 9-5-4 record. For the most part, they are competitive in games, even against top-tier teams such as Washington and St. Louis.

Sam Cosentino: Exciting future for Leafs with Marner, Nylander (Sportsnet)
CHL analyst Sam Cosentino joins Brady & Walker to discuss the current success and future expectations for Leafs prospects Mitch Marner and William Nylander.

Tom Gulitti: Lou Lamoriello on facing Devils: “If you don’t have feelings, there’s something wrong with you” (Fire and Ice)
“It’s normal. It’s natural,” Lamoriello said. “You don’t kid yourself. There’s certainly a nostalgia involved that will never leave, should never leave. It’s no different at Providence College. That’s part of life. … If you’ve had positive feelings and positive memories, why wouldn’t you (keep them)?”

Lance Hornby: Kadri ill, kept from teammates (Toronto Sun)
The absence of Kadri gave long-time healthy scratch Frank Corrado some change in routine. The idled defenceman was drafted to forward so the lines would be balanced at practice. “I played a little forward in minor hockey,” the GTA native said. “If you start on defence and switch to forward, you understand things better. It might feel fresh for me doing drills from the other side. But I’ve always been a defenceman, that’s my position.”

Tom Hunter: Jeremy Bracco left off Team USA’s 2016 World Junior roster (MLHS)
The news comes as a bit of a surprise as Bracco was expected to be a strong candidate for big minutes on the Ron Wilson-coached team. I personally had him in a top-six winger role when I projected Team USA a couple weeks ago. Not only is Bracco viewed as one of the most highly skilled American forwards by some, he was also the last cut from the team last year.
